When your business needs change or when you are acquired, you may find that you want to discontinue use of Projector. We are sad to see you go, but happy to assist you in extracting your data from our system. Below you will find some paths that organizations find have worked best.

SQL Extract

To get absolutely all metadata out of the system you can ask for a SQL database extract. This database file will be a flat file and for it to be useful you'll need someone that can write SQL queries to extract the data. If you don't have anyone that can construct queries you could engage with Projector on a time and materials basis and someone here can run queries for you. There is also a one time cost for us to extract the data and create the SQL file for you. We mention this option first as it is the 'kitchen sink' approach, but many organizations actually choose to forego this path and choose one of the following approaches.

Reports

You can run Projector reports (for free!) and

  • Client Report
  • Project Listing Report
  • Resource Listing Report
  • User Listing Report
  • Time Card Report
  • Cost Card Report
  • Invoicing Listing Report

Document Archives

You'll want to do this in addition to the approaches above. Document archives allow you to extract files that you have uploaded to Projector like
