Management Portal requires a minimum version of Microsoft .NET 4.5 in order to run. In general, as long as you have been applying recommended updates from Microsoft, Management Portal should just work. If it is not working, you may just want to run Windows Update and apply any outstanding items.

Specifically, we recommend version 4.6.2+.

In addition to a minimum version of 5, we also require a minimum version of TLS 1.1+. Versions of .NET

Version 4.6.1 or earlier require requires a Microsoft security update or hotfix KB4035036 in order to support TLS 1.1+. Because of this, we recommend installing .NET 4.6.2+ if possible. If all of this is technobabble, contact support.

If you are locked into an older version of .NET, you can still get Management Portal working. You can find the version of .NET installed by going to Add/Remove programs control panel. Look for "Microsoft .NET Framework XXX".
