The following data fields are available in the Forecast Accuracy Report. |
Field | Field Category | Description |
---|---|---|
Absolute Basis Hours | Hours Fields | The larger of forecasted hours and worked hours. |
Absolute Forecast Accuracy | Forecast Accuracy Fields | Absolute Variance Hours / Absolute Basis Hours Although similar to the field "Worked % of Forecast," this measurement does not allow for overages and underages to offset one another. This is the more accurate of the two measurements when looking at your forecasting abilities. |
Absolute Variance Hours | Hours Fields | Over Forecasted Hours + Under Forecasted Hours In total, how far off was your forecast was? Under and over forecasted hours are not offsetting, but additive. So I overforecast 50 hours on one project and underforecast 25 on another, I'm off by 75 absolute variance hours. |
Forecasted Hours | Hours Fields | Number of hours forecasted |
Over Forecasted Hours | Hours Fields | If you predicted more hours than you actually worked, you over forecasted |
Under Forecasted Hours | Hours Fields | If you predicted fewer hours than you actually worked, you under forecasted |
Variance Hours | Hours Fields | Forecasted Hours - Worked Hours When a positive number, you worked fewer hours than you thought you would. When a negative number, you worked more hours than you thought you would. |
Worked % of Forecast | Forecast Accuracy Fields | Worked Hours / Forecasted Hours The percentage that you worked vs. what you thought you would work. If less than 100% then you worked less than you were expecting. If greater than 100% you worked more than you were expecting. Although similar to the field "Absolute Forecast Accuracy," this measurement averages out overages and underages. |
Worked Hours | Hours Fields | The number of hours worked. |
