When looking at your project budgets, you may see a category called (none). This happens when you have a dimensioned budget for the following dimension types:

  • Rate type
  • Task type

When you book hours on Projector, they are booked to a Role. We can group budgeted hours based on anything associated with roles. So when you make a new budget and ask Projector to automatically convert booked hours into dimensioned budgets - we can do that for any dimension associated with roles. For example, Resource or Title.

The dimensions Task Type and Rate Type are different however. They are not associated with a role. They are entered when you create the time card. As such, when you populate a budget, Projector can't allocate booked hours to Task Types or Rate Types. You can only track those two historically.
