Passphrase is an added layer of authentication necessary for certain highly permissioned users to use as part of their password reset workflow.

This help page will cover how to set up and update your passphrase. In the event, you forget your passphrase, your Projector Administrator can help you clear it so that you can set up a new one.

Single Sign-on and Delegated Authentication users are not impacted by the passphrase workflow.

How do I set up a passphrase?

Users that are required to use a passphrase as part of their password reset workflow are alerted to set up their passphrase once they log-in to Projector. The banner alerts the user to set up their password recovery on the “Update password recovery” page on the web. From there the user can set up their passphrase. The banner will persistently show until the user has their passphrase set up. If dismissed, the banner will prompt the user again when they log back in.

Clicking the link in the banner will navigate the user directly to that page. On Projector web, the page can also be found on the “My Profile” page. In the Management Portal, the link to the “Update password recovery” page can be found on the Projector Options dialog under the Password tab.

Follow the passphrase requirements to set up your passphrase.

The banner alert should disappear after the user sets up their passphrase.

How do I update my passphrase?

The user can update their passphrase by opening the fly-out menu on their profile header or from the “My Profile” page.
