Info

When looking at your project budgets, you may see a category called (none). This happens when you have a dimensioned budget for the following dimension types:

  • Rate type
  • Task type

When you book hours on in Projector, they are booked to a Role. We can group look at those budgeted hours and group them based on anything associated with roles . So when you make a new budget and ask Projector to automatically convert booked hours into dimensioned budgets - we can do that for any dimension associated with roles. For example, Resource or - like Resource Display Name or Resource Title.

The dimensions Task Type and Rate Type are different however. They are not associated with a role. They lower level detail than the role and are entered when you create the time card. As such, when you populate a budget, Projector can't allocate booked hours to Task Types or Rate Types. You can only track those two historicallythem historically. Because of this, all booked hours are dumped into a broad category called (none).
