The optional “Operations (PPSA)” field allows Smartsheet users to drive changes to task status and remaining time on a task. With some creative use of formulas to populate the SetRemainingMinutes operation, you could even set an explicit % Complete from here.

The other, more standard pathway to updating time remaining or percent complete include is to ensure resources are entering time, and that time is getting approved.
