Contract types & key terms

  • Time & Materials (T&M): Bill for actual time/costs at agreed rates. Revenue is created when time cards are approved; revenue recognition is typically not run. Projector PSA+1

  • Not to Exceed (NTE): Like T&M but capped; you track against the limit. NTE Hard Cap (NTEHC) enforces the cap by preventing approvals past the limit until the cap is adjusted. Projector PSA

  • Fixed Price (FP): Client pays a fixed amount regardless of effort. Use Revenue Recognition to recognize earned revenue over time, either by Percent Complete or Revenue Schedule. Projector PSA+1

  • Revenue Recognition Method – Percent Complete: Allocates revenue based on an installation setting—Person Hours, Resource Direct Cost, or Contract Revenue—and the date range you recognize. Projector PSA

  • Revenue Recognition Method – Revenue Schedule: Locks rev rec to your scheduled revenue by service periods (common for retainers/recurring services). Projector PSA

  • Holdback (FP only): Amount withheld until client sign‑off; excluded from rev‑rec calculations until you zero it out and run a final rev‑rec. Projector PSA

  • Revenue earned‑by date (warning): A CLI setting indicating when 100% should be earned; rev‑rec cutoffs after this date trigger a warning to adjust the earned‑by date.Projector PSA
