Why isn't the Use Actuals Through Date today

You will find the the UATD is configurable in Projector. Why would you want to change it? Wouldn't you always want the most up-to-date data? The answer is actually no, not always.

First of all, employees do not always enter their time and expenses expeditiously. For this reason a date of last week or last month is often chosen. This will reflect a time period when you know most of your time and expenses have been fully cataloged.

The second reason is that you may want to look at what historical predictions were. So you may set the use actuals date to the first day of a project. This will show you everything that was predicted on day one.

There are additional reasons a configurable UATD is desirable, but if you understand how the UATD works, you'll be able to easily identify and leverage those situations as they arise.
