The color map is managed in Setup | Scheduled Hours Color Map.
The color map allows you to define the colors used for each combination of project stage and engagement type. Colors are used to visually identify scheduled hours in the role browser, resource browser, and resource schedule grid report. It is often used to distinguish between billable and non-billable work, and to distinguish between opportunities and committed projects.
